iPhone - first experience
August 7th, 2008I was trying to get brand new iPhone for 3 weeks now, but I’m not the type who will stand in line to buy something, so I had to wait. Finally, last Monday, I went to the Apple Store and there was no line! So I grabbed 8Gb device to try it out. Here is my first experience with my brand new iPhone 3G.
In short, I absolutely love the product. I have not used anything like iPhone before, but then again, I’ve been with Verizon for the last 10 years, and Verizon never been known for fancy phones. So now, I had to open an account with AT&T, which I’ve heard is not as nearly as good with their service as Verzion, but this is a subject for a different post.
I love almost everything about the device. Its size and weight. Operating System is absolutly awesome. Ability to load application from the App Store is great! UI is unbeleavable (being a convertee to Mac from PC platform, I can’t believe that PC still have such a huge market share). What I don’t really like is a glossy housing of the device. I personally like those sort-of robberized finishes, just like Verizon’s Dare has.
I got the device to evaluate it and to figure out wether or not I’ll be able to switch to AT&T service, given very poor reception in my house.
